Yesterday, a number of local residents in my small town Virgilina community suffered from a natural disaster. A tornado swept much of their landscaping, part of their homes, and much of their belongings right before their eyes. Two families who endured this inconceivable event are very close friends of mine. Thankfully, none of them were injured, having witnessed and been present during the category (2) tornado. Until you’ve physically observed such an event or are somehow affected by it, the feeling you receive is truly chimerical. The somatic-induced time, memories, and labor lost in this particular tragedy are inestimable. A beloved comrad of mine, in conversation and reflection, discussed how the childhood recollections of giving her mother beautiful Bradford trees for her birthday and christmas were no longer physically present, but the memories are unforgettable. I ask each of my readers to pray for these families, the community, and anyone else who has suffered such an event. Alas, as trite as it may sound, bad things happen to good people. But in the end, God works in mysterious ways.
See, I these goofy Ron Paul supporters weren’t done yet. The internet-savvy supporters of the neo-nazi Texas representative are famous for swarming elctoral events and trying to hijack the elctoral process. They must be getting desperate to try something like this so late in the campaign — or just bored, one or the other. From the Reno Gazette-Journal:
Remember when I said the Paul supporters were Internet-savvy? They’re -dedicated, too.
Looney like a Toon. Nutty as a Baby Ruth. Fruity as a fruitcake. “He can still win”???? And how did the presumptive nominee, John McCain, do?
Note to “Big John” McCain — we may vote for you in November, but we’re still pissed at you for lots of reasons. Start talking to your base, Johnny! ~~JD~~
