As you may or may not be aware of, I have always wanted to go on a storm chase in Tornado Alley. Of course this year it seems like Memphis is in the heart of it! I almost went chasing during the Super Tuesday Outbreak but figured without the needed gear (laptop for car, mount for laptop in said car, etc) it would be better to ride it out inside a building.
Anyways, I’m a weather nerd. I admit it. Only because so many other people out there are. If there is severe weather, I’m probably pulling up a Doppler radar image to check it out. Storms are magnificent displays of power and beauty. If I had the money (and I don’t), I’d go on a storm chase every year.
And now I can. This site has storm chaser videos - LIVE - on the road as they chase storms.
Now if you’ll excuse, I’m following a tornadic storm in Nebraska…
