Hurricane Ivan (News in Chinese) in 2004. It almost directly hit where I lived, so I ran to the school’s Red Cross shelter and hided there for one night.
A small earthquake (News in Chinese) in 2005. The ground shook just a little bit, and I barely felt it. I really can’t imagine the horror people in SiChuan felt during this China’s biggest earthquake in the past 30 years. God bless those people who are still under rubble and debris waiting for rescue!! There are also a couple of tornadoes I experienced while driving. I can’t remember exactly when they happened. All remains is just the memory of desperation for getting out of freeway.
